Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli was born on a farm in Lajatico, a farming community near the vineyards of Tuscany. As a young boy Andrea’s parents encouraged him to develop his musical talents by learning piano, flute and saxophone. Bocelli loved opera and the emotion it bestowed on other people.

Andrea received a law degree from the University of Pisa, and spent a year acting as a lawyer before pursuing his musical ambitions. Bocelli then trained under legendary tenor Franco Corelli and worked at night in piano bars and clubs. Andrea was discovered at an open audition in 1992 by the Italian rock legend Zucchero. Bocelli’s debut album in 1997, “Romanza", went multi-platinum in every country it was released in. The recent release “Sogno” sold more then 4 million copies. Andrea Bocelli's new album “Amore” includes a duet with Celine Dion.
